My nephew did the same thing to my Grandmother (his great grandmother) without a leash. He got out of the car and ran up to her standing in the driveway to give her a hug and basically did an Adam Sandler in "Waterboy" tackle/hug. Fractured cranium and coma 2 days. She lived, fortunately...
