Might not have been the drivers fault but he did put pics of his trains speed meter on facebook and boasted about the speed saying the police will never stop him for speeding. it could mean nothing that but wait and see.

it is, of course entirely possible that if that train was being driven manually as opposed to A.T.O ( automatic train operation ) that the driver may have been slightly unaware of his exact location & may have realised too late that the train was going way too fast for that section of track ! No excuses, you have to be TOTALLY on the ball when driving a train, which is probably the most difficult aspect of the job which is very repetitive & you can end up on a kind of " auto-pilot "
