They Fall from the Fourth Floor
(Bolivia) La Paz: 02/03/2021 Accident at UPEA leaves three students dead and five injured Colonel L. J. reported this Tuesday that eight students from the Public University of (UPEA) fell from the fourth floor after yielding one of the railings of the building of the Faculty of Financial Sciences, located on the Río Seco campus, of which five were injured and three lost their lives after the accident. "Three of them died and the other five were evacuated, they would have fallen from the 4th floor of the building," Jiménez told the media. It is known that the incident was caused in the middle of an assembly of the UPEA that would have begun at 08.00 in the morning.  |

the blue jacket girl who's fighting survived the red hoodie who's fighting with her fell  Seems that the railing fail at the blue jacket girl. Why such crowd tho? Don't they apply social distancing there? I always avoid crowds like this, no matter what the purpose will be. |

Oh this is horrific. Poor kids. I too am amazed more didn’t fall and out of the 9 people I see on the ground...5 survived(?). That one kid fell into the landing 1 floor below, wow. I agree to never trust railings, especially when so many people are right there. Though it seems they will try and blame the students for the “broken” railing when it’s shitty railing work. But as we have seen from other tragedies, don’t trust railings, bridges, skywalks, stairs, escalators, balconies when there are way more people than should be there! |
