Gold shop-owner foils robbery, killing one, injuring another in Tak Province December 8, 2022 An alleged robber was shot dead and one of his accomplices was injured when four men tried to rob a gold shop in Mueang district of Thailand’s western province of Tak this afternoon (Thursday). The four men arrived at the shop on two motorcycles. One of them fired a shot into the air from a handgun and then tried to break into the shop using hand tools. The gold shop-owner opened fire at them, forcing them to turn and run. Five more shots were fired by the shop owner, killing one and injuring another, who was later arrested by the police. A man hunt has been launched for the other two suspects. Tak police said that this was the second attempted gold shop robbery in Mueang district since May. The suspects in that case are still at large. |
