Re: Texting & Driving Dont Mix

I almost didn't watch this video because it looks like the guy is holding a baby in one hand on before you play the video... Is that called the thumbnail or no?

Re: Texting & Driving Dont Mix

I see this response a lot on DR, but honestly...you need to keep your hands off of people in that condition until qualified medical personnel arrive o the scene. Most people's medical training doesn't go past basic CPR, and not many people even know that much. If you don't have the proper training for such a situation, you could actually contribute to their death rather than save their life. On top of that, if you were to make the situation worse by doing the wrong thing and the person dies, you then open yourself up for a lawsuit from that person's family after they find out. Yeah, it happens more often than you'd think.

Re: Texting & Driving Dont Mix

That is absolute rubbish! The sooner you start CPR, the better possible outcome. There has never been a successful law case against a ley first attender trying to save someone's life. The person may have to live with paralysis but they will still be alive.

Ah...another another one that thinks everyone on the planet knows CPR.

A lot (as in most people) have not taken a CPR class. Then, on top of that...I know people who HAVE taken a CPR class and can't even do it correctly. Now, let's add both of those up. Yep, most people aren't qualified to help. A prime example of someone who isn't qualified are every single one of you that typed the letters "CPR". One of the main rules of proper CPR is a clear airway, which this guy was NOT ever going to have.

Anyway...

Furthermore, stop talking bullshit like the rest of the "heroes" in this thread...you wouldn't put your face anywhere near that fountain of blood spraying everywhere even if someone paid you.

Let's make it personal. 15 months ago I regained consciousness under this 4Runner after being rear ended and driven over. Yes ME!!! 17 year old texting driver didn't see the light. I have a forum www.facebook.com/CycleCrashSurvivor

Re: Texting & Driving Dont Mix

those that are alive still require medical attention if anyone knows it there
even the simple holding of a hand can make a difference without harming anyone
It must be horrifying to lie there, all fucked up, and see people wandering around, filming you but not making any attempt to help, almost like you're dead already.
