Terror Attack in Poland, at least 6 dead
Poland. A mass shooting occured in one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations this Saturday afternoon in Kraków, leaving at least 6 people dead, including 2 police officers, and between 10 to 14 others have been hospitalized with varying degrees of gunshot wounds. The active-shooter incident unfolded around 3:00 PM local time in the historic Main Market Square (Rynek Główny) in central Kraków. According to the Małopolska Police, a lone gunman driving a vehicle managed to breach the pedestrianized zone, driving along Sławkowska Street toward the main square while firing a rifle indiscriminately at random bystanders and responding personnel. Eyewitnesses reported scenes of absolute panic as the shooter fired directly from his car window. The gunfire damaged a local tram and tore through shop windows facing the historic cobblestone square. Paramedics and heavily armed police swarmed the area in front of St. Mary's Church. A Polish Medical Air Rescue helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing directly inside the crowded square to evacuate the most critically wounded victims. Law enforcement engaged the suspect in a direct confrontation. Officers shot and wounded the perpetrator before successfully taking him into custody. He was transported to a local hospital under heavy guard. Re: Terror Attack in Poland, at least 6 dead
Looks like green guy might also have body armor and police guy needed to find a weak spot to stop the murder and kept peppering him point blank in different vital areas. Either the perp got decorticate posturing, became a zombie and/or decided to give up with raised hands. I think police guy got injured too, he is checking his body and lying down. |

Re: Terror Attack in Poland, at least 6 dead
That first video where he point-blank shoots the guy is fitting. Sad that he too seems to be shot and wounded. I hope the officer survived. He deserves a medal. 🏅 I wonder what the asshole shooter’s motivation was!?! And why innocents and not specifically targeted people!?! |

Re: Terror Attack in Poland, at least 6 dead
Holy shit that LEO is a HERO, I just coined the DR slogan du jour! Used the car as cover and placed an obviously accurate shot on a maniac with a assault rifle. Which begs the question, why aren't all police equipped at least with assault rifles? Edit: new video shows police guy slumped behind car is also cop, that might be the guy with the handgun who might have lost the shootout. I really hope he only got the wind knocked out of him when his plate was hit, but he aint movin. The cop who finished the job is shot and bleeding pretty badly, the responders hands are bloody and maybe they are keeping compression on hopefully a flesh wound. Why does shot cop get two responders and perp gets 5? |

Re: Terror Attack in Poland, at least 6 dead
KRAKOW, Poland -- Five people were killed and more than a dozen injured after a gunman opened fire Saturday afternoon in a busy market square in Krakow, Poland, police said. The gunman, a Polish citizen, aimed at random people as he drove into the Main Square, a major tourist destination in the center of the city, Krakow police said. Police officers are among the wounded. The perpetrator was shot and wounded during a gunfight with officers a short distance away from the initial violence, police said. Katarzyna Ciso, a spokesperson for the Krakow police, told TVN24 that the perpetrator was wearing military-style fatigues and he used a military-type long gun in the attack. Police found many other weapons, as well as ammunition, in his car. Ciso added that the gunman acted alone and that the public is safe. Mass shootings are uncommon in Poland. Images from the scene showed police officers and ambulances covering the area, and a Polish Medical Air Rescue helicopter also landed in the square. A tram driver reported around 3 p.m. that his vehicle was shot at from a man in a moving car while passing nearby the main square, the Krakow municipal transport company said. The window to the tram driver's cabin was shattered. Around 15 million tourists visit Krakow annually, the majority passing through the Main Square. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, in a post on X, said police are investigating the attack. And Polish President Karol Nawrocki said his thoughts were with the victims, the wounded and their families. "We are just learning details of the horrific mass shooting in Krakow, a savage and murderous attack that's shattered the peace of Poland," Tom Rose, the U.S. ambassador to Poland, wrote on X. "America stands with Poland at this dark hour as Poland stands with her beloved citizens of Krakow." Krakow is the second-largest city in Poland and roughly 250 kilometers (155 miles) from the capital, Warsaw. https://abc7.com/post/poland-mass-sh...t-12/20022531/ |
