Re: Teenager Riding Scooter in Manhattan Was Killed In Crash
This happened in Washington Heights in upper Manhattan, otherwise known as Dominican Land. It's as shitty as it sounds. |

No. Just no. There is a moment when you have to realize there is no coming back and when they are lying on the ground with their arms in the “I’m fucked” position, bleeding like that (probably out of the back of their head), eyes open and obviously non-reactive you can check a pulse (that’s more than enough in this situation) and call it a day.

Re: Teenager Riding Scooter in Manhattan Was Killed In Crash
Sure but the point was that in the vast majority of videos, and I don't fault most people for doing so, they don't even try to help. Most people just remain frozen in fear or worse yet, film, and not just for our benefit. I'd rather see people futilely render aid or give comfort to the dying than stand there and film or do absolutely nothing. Hell, that even extends to cordoning off the scene. I know it's DR but surely that's a take people appreciate all the more because of the content here. |
