Re: Teenage Boy Killed by Drop Tower in Orlando, Florida
True. His terror alarms probably went off when the ride tilted his seat forward at the apex. But he is not alone. Many of us have experienced mortal terror - but most of us somehow live through it. The purpose of that ride is the similar. He did die quick and fast, regardless of how long they were able to prolong his heartbeat. |

Yeah sorry that was in bad taste, my apologies. But really I hate when people are scared when they die and if they want to live so I guess bad attempts at humor are my way of coping with the tragedy

Re: Teenage Boy Killed by Drop Tower in Orlando, Florida
There is the theory that the seat had locked in but that he slipped out through the gap due to his sheer size and fat content..but if that was the case then the seat would have remained in whatever position it was locked in would it?... but in the screenshot ie taken here before the others were released from the ride, the restraint is clearly now at a lower level than when he was sitting in the seat...suggesting that it either wasnt locked in at all or the lock system failed due to the force on it...the force required to break lock system should have been thoroughly checked prior to the ride being opened and height weight limits imposed as a result. Id say he shouldnt have been on it at all and whoever let him on may be at fault if the correct height and weight limits were not adhered to. Cant claim intimidation from him made them let him on the ride either...cause in that circumstance you would call security if you had been trained properly.

Which then places liability squarely on the companies shoulders...so they definitely doing to be rich after this thats for sure.
