In other words, Energy increases exponentially as Velocity (v) increases. And Energy (or mass) approaches infinity as Velocity approaches the speed of light (E=mc^2). And also, the comment you were replying to was clearly referring to Force (not energy), as lay-people don't typically think about energy in matters of kinetics. Lay-people only typically refer to energy with respect to combustibles (natural gas heating) or electricity.
