I agree 100%. It doesn’t matter which president ordered the removal of American troops. It would have to be done eventually. When would be a good time? When Afghanistan is in a great place, but let’s be realistic… without strong support from the neighboring countries there, that’s not going to happen. The countries around Afghanistan should be the primary countries helping out. We wouldn’t expect people from other parts of the world to travel to Mexico if there was a civil war going on there. We’d deal with it ourselves if necessary since it’s so close to home. If Pakistan, Iran, India, etc. want the Taliban under control they should be dealing with it. The US is powerful, but we’re not earth’s babysitter. But I do feel bad for all the people stuck in Afghanistan who can’t get out. A lot of them probably wake up every morning expecting to die that day, and it’s unfortunate that so many people are born in one of the absolute worst countries in the world. |

They’ll kill people for being gay (as in homosexual, not as in happy although they’d probably kill them for that too), yet I’d bet they have bacha bazi parties.

It’s a shit situation either way, and the optics of the collapse of resistance are pretty maddening. At the same time, however, there are many innocents who can’t effectively defend themselves who are going to suffer. Ultimately, there is going to be death and suffering in the Middle East, as there has been always. Probably the ones we should blame above all are the murderous Taliban, who act against human rights and democratic principle. |

It just shows you that some cultures don’t grasp the sense of urgency or get the big picture to defend what’s theirs, the taliban had a motive and if you watch how some snipers took over some bases of course the AFA pissed their pants. That being said that’s what happens when hold people by the hand all the time rather than by watching them from a distance and guiding them on how to do things, all of a sudden everything went to shit. The sad reality is that even bombing them wouldn’t had change anything since it’s all they know, but Hey it will all take care of itself once COVID arrives on the scene since they don’t believe in vaccines and the problem will sort itself out anyways  , Just let India share some of that Delta Variant
