Here come the executions
A regional Police Chief who fought the Taliban has been executed in cold blood by the jihadist group, according to reports. Shocking video footage being circulated on the internet apparently shows the kneeling handcuffed and blindfolded figure of General Haji Mullah Achakzai, chief of Badgis Province near Herat, being gunned down in a hail of bullets.

The Grey haired commander was reported to have been arrested by the Taliban after they seized the area, near the Turkmenistan border, in their lighting advance last week.

The disturbing clip was re-tweeted by former BBC Persia journalist Nasrin Nawa after it emerged on the feed of an apparent resistance group to the Taliban called PanjshrProvince. According to reports, the governor and police chief of Laghman Province near Jalalabad in eastern Afghanistan have also been detained, with their fate to be decided by the Taliban high command.

The brutal execution follows numerous reports of Taliban patrols going door to door in some areas and taking men of fighting age into detention.

I may piss off some people when I say this, but.... we can blame Biden, Trump, Obama, and even Bush... but the fact is they didn't even attempt to fight for themselves, how long are we supposed to sacrifice our sons, daughters, mother's and fathers and they're not even willing to stand for themselves? The Taliban met no resistance what so ever, the Afghan government didn't even try.... There. I'll get off my soup box, now.

Watch 200,000 Afghanis emigrate to the United States. The consequences will be catastrophic. Afghanis are particularly resistant to cultural assimilation. They are not likely to abandon their tribalism. It's a huge mistake.

It is a hard point of empathy to extend to people, who even as policemen, firefighters, or the most inoffensive and moderate of a group who still subscribe to this belief system. Violence to, and the subjugation of women, in fact - death to all of us who don't celebrate a doctrine of iron age ignorance. It kills the conversation before it starts. Perhaps the only good thing that will come from these events are a mass waking up to the stupidity of all religions- even the ones that don't shoot blindfolded police officers.
