Re: Taiwan: Elderly Bicyclist Killed At Train Crossing
The elderly won't be getting any older. Almost like it was on purpose, clear view & no reason the person couldn't have waited.

Re: Taiwan: Elderly Bicyclist Killed At Train Crossing
He must have had extremely poor spatial awareness. Doesn’t look like he was trying to beat the train at all and he thought he was far enough back

Re: Taiwan: Elderly Bicyclist Killed At Train Crossing
He did not look either direction for a train at any time. Maybe he was too senile - just focused on some destination and not conscious of trains at the time. That happens to old people. Excellent footage though. Very dramatic. |

Re: Taiwan: Elderly Bicyclist Killed At Train Crossing
I believe this was deliberate. It’s difficult to see but he is watching the train coming, in fact at :13 he starts going a little faster in order to meet the train. |

Re: Taiwan: Elderly Bicyclist Killed At Train Crossing
He only looks straight ahead, like his focus was trained on the road ahead. Darwin. |

Re: Taiwan: Elderly Bicyclist Killed At Train Crossing
You don’t see it? Just before he crossed the first set of tracks? He looks towards the camera first, then the other way, just before he starts purposefully moving across the tracks. |
