Re: Taiwan: Elderly Bicyclist Killed At Train Crossing

Imagine red lights and bells going off as a warning.

I bet he was blind and deaf.
I'd say "he was alive".

His slow zombie like movement makes me think he was disoriented and not really aware of the danger. Could have been medication or blood sugar, based on age and location.

Huh, that sounds surprisingly similar to the current leader of the free world... El Presidente Brandon.

Re: Taiwan: Elderly Bicyclist Killed At Train Crossing

Senile part could be right as only 80+ year olds or so use one leg to step their bicycle instead of just pedalling. wasn't exactly a steep hill and he didn't bother looking to the left.
C.W. (65) was sent to the hospital at 7:30. His injuries were quite serious. He had an open wound due to a severe impact on his head, and his limbs were also deformed.

Among them, his left foot was so severe that it had to be amputated, and there was also a large hip injury. He suffered an open wound over a large area and was pronounced dead at 9:17 after resuscitation.
So he’s 65, not 80+? That’s not elderly!!! He’s not even old enough to retire in the US!

He definitely knew that train was there. You can’t convince me he didn’t. Not at 65 years old. Nope.
Even if he WAS deaf and blind, you can FEEL a train in the ground, especially up close and personal like that.
He knew.

My mom is only 61 but she's gone YEARS with uncontrolled diabetes. She now has, "diabetic dementia" and often times is completely out of it. She could easily have done the same thing...
