Native American tribes were wiping out each other for centuries before the first European "tribe" arrived on American shores. They didn't keep prisoners. Men tortured to death, women raped and killed, children taken away. "Scalping" was around long before the white man arrived. Apache, Comanche, Mohawk, all "war tribes", predators who fed on the agrarian tribes. Don't cry to me that a smarter, more advanced tribe was able to build boats that could cross an ocean and defeat people who outnumbered them thousands to one. |
