Update Motorcyclists went against the flow causing Ahmad Fadzil Omar Azzadin, a high-powered motorcycle rider, Ducati Panigale, to fall from a highway flyover in an accident last Wednesday, appearing to make a police report yesterday. Ampang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail, said the 41-year-old man from Kajang, Selangor, who was a food trader, had also recorded his statement when making a report at the Kajang Traffic Police Station. So far, he said, the police have recorded the statements of six people, including the suspect, related to the crash at about 1.05 in the afternoon at Kilometer 22.2 of the Sungai Besi Ulu Kelang Highway (SUKE) near Ulu Kelang. Mohd Azam said, through testimony, the suspect informed that on the day of the incident he got lost while on his way from Ampang back to his home in Kajang. Following that, he said, the suspect, who is also a food trader, decided to enter the SUKE Highway flyover against the current, causing an accident. "As a result of a collision with the victim's motorcycle, the suspect also fell from his motorcycle. After the accident, the suspect went home and only found out about the victim's incident after watching the news on television and social media," he said in a statement today. Mohd Azam said that as a result of the accident, the suspect also suffered various injuries, including a broken right shoulder, a broken little finger in addition to injuries to his left shoulder and right leg. "In connection with that, we also confiscated the suspect's Yamaha motorcycle and some other case items for investigation. For now the suspect has not been arrested because the condition of his injuries is quite severe," he said. He said, so far the police have recorded the conversations of six witnesses including the suspect and the investigation related to this case is still ongoing. In the meantime, he said, both motorcycles belonging to the victim and the suspect will be sent to the Computerized Vehicle Inspection Center (PUSPAKOM) and the Chemistry Department for further inspection. In the incident, Ahmad Fadzil, 62, from Ampang was on his way to enter the Ulu Kelang Ring Road 2 (MRR2) exit. Through a closed circuit camera (CCTV) recording that went viral, the victim was seen riding a Ducati Panigale on a winding path trying to avoid a motorcycle that was being ridden against the current. However, the victim's motorcycle crashed into a barrier on the left side of the road and before the victim was thrown from the highway overpass at a height of about 30 meters while his motorcycle was dragged to the middle of the road.
