Coming in way to hot. Didn’t flare soon enough. I’ve been there several hundred times and only crashed the once. Survived. |

Re: Russia - Skydiver Slams Into Ground
Yep. Broken back at L1. Titanium fusion from T12 to L2. It’s on the side of my spinal column. I’m considered a paraplegic with an incomplete injury. I’m able to stand and walk with a cane. Left foot dead in the water. Right foot movement enough to drive my car without hand controls. I crashed at #195 and jumped for two summers after the fact. Was trying to get to #250 but at #240 the number seemed moot. I did 45 skydives over two summers which seemed like enough. It is one of the best activities I’ve ever done. Jumped mostly by myself. Once you step out of the plane in 5 seconds you’re at terminal velocity and there’s nothing around you but God for miles in every direction. I’m not a religious person but very spiritual. It’s amazing to find yourself with nothing but miles of space in every direction. Totally changed my perspective. I am glad to be alive every single day that I’m here. I Love Life! |
