Re: Superbiker Died Thrown Down Flyover Bridge
Update 14.06.2023 - Police are tracking a motorcyclist who is believed to have fled after causing an accident in which a high-powered motorcyclist died at Kilometer 22.2 of the Sungai Besi Ulu Kelang Highway (SUKE) near Ulu Kelang, on Wednesday. In the incident at about 1 in the afternoon, the rider of the Ducati Panigale, an elderly man in his 60s, was confirmed to have died from severe injuries. Ampang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail said, preliminary investigations found that an accident occurred when a motorcycle was ridden against the current on the right shoulder of the road. "The victim who was going through a curving road then tried to avoid it and hit the barrier on the left side of the road. The impact of the violation caused the rider to stumble and fall down at a height of about 30 meters while his motorcycle was dragged to the middle of the road," he said in a statement. Mohd Azam said the victim suffered severe leg injuries and was found lying on the ground behind the fence of the Sungai Klang SMART Control Station and was confirmed dead. According to him, the preliminary investigation found that the accident was caused by the negligence of the motorcyclist who drove recklessly and caused death. "The rider involved was found to have left the location and the action to trace him is underway. Closed circuit camera (CCTV) footage is being examined together with SUKE and independent witnesses are being tracked down to assist the investigation," he said. He said, the case was investigated in accordance with Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Independent witnesses were asked to come forward and provide information by contacting IPD Ampang Jaya Traffic Investigation Officer Inspector Muhamad Yusaiful Muhamat Basir at 011-13078348. Re: Superbiker Died Thrown Down Flyover Bridge
The helmet didn't make much difference there. Been interesting to see what happened before he came into frame to see how close he was to the other, must've been in the exact same path because it looks like plenty of roadway to avoid him since another followed not far behind with no issue.
