Re: Still Alive After Being Shot in the Face
stfu you psychopathic a-hole. The guy clearly was in a tragic and hopeless state of mind. He never anticipated surviving for a few hours in mind boggling disfigurement and pain. Show some respect. |

Re: Still Alive After Being Shot in the Face
Yep, and that's just the immediate repair. I posted earlier that it didn't look like he damaged anything vital, and with the exception of some damage to the frontal bone, the neurocranium was basically intact. Even with basic first aid, the wound wouldn't be fatal, well depending on avoiding infection at least. Obviously, he destroyed both his eyes, but the closeups indicate that his sense of taste and smell will recover to some degree...hell, the trajectory of the shot probably missed most of the facial nerves to boot, so depending on the quality of the reconstruction, his ability to speak, and potentially emote is probably pretty high. |

Due to Newton's third law, just physics at work, referred to as "recoil" in firearms lingo. |

Re: Still Alive After Being Shot in the Face
And you're just considering tissue disruption at a structural level, but you also have to take into consideration the histological damage, blood vessels, nerve ramifications (facial paralysis and loss of sensation on areas of his facial skin), facial muscles and ligaments and also the effects of the gas pressure (As occurs in a contact shot, which augments the hydrostatic shock), being the reason I believe the overpressure damaged both of his inner ears as it traveled from his mouth cavity into both inner ears through the Eustachian tubes. He will be talking with an electronic voice box from now on. I'm also pretty sure he will have neurological sequels like tinnitus from the damaged vestibulocochlear nerve and other inner ear structures like the cochlea sending false sound signals etc. He F-ed up his life beyond his wildest imagination. |
