Two men, a girl and a woman died in the accident that involved 18 vehicles and left several people injured on the BR-414 in Anápolis , 55 km from Goiânia. The victims are between 6 and 65 years old

The accident happened last Monday (25). According to the Fire Department, three people died at the scene of the accident and the Legal Medical Institute (IML) reported one death in the hospital.

According to firefighters, among the 18 vehicles involved in the accident, there are three trucks and two loaded twin-rail bulk carriers. One of the vehicles had a diesel oil leak. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the highway was completely closed.

PRF said that a truck traveling down BR-414 was unable to brake in time, hit the vehicles and caused the pile-up in Anápolis.

'Born Again'
A businessman involved in the fatal accident reports being scared at the time of the crash. Sandro Moreti told TV Anhanguera that he was in the last car hit by the truck.

“A big scare, but I was born again”, he said with relief.
Moreti also states that he feels pain in his back due to the impact of the crash. “I took the last hit. I even have a sore back,” she said.

The PRF reported that the lane, which is simple, is under construction and uses the "stop and go" system, which is why, at the time of the accident, several cars were stopped on the highway.
