I can't say if he could have stopped in time had he braked better but he certainly may have remained upright. That would've helped.

there are no stop signs.

Can't really tell as both roads are the same width and have the same markings. Without knowing more, it looks like a "T" intersection and in the USA, at least in states I've driven in, the one in the top of said "T" has the right of way.

Either way, the tree made it a blind intersection and everyone going through should slow down.

Are you really that stupid?

Have you watched the video? Did you notice that the state of the road at the time the incident occurred is very different to the state of the road in that Google StreetView image?

Did you not notice that the obviously paved road the truck drove down in the video had white lines painted on it?

I've attached a map of the area, the accident intersection is in the centre (where the StreetView figure is).

If its not clear who has right of way (and I have no idea) then everyone would have to slow down pretty much everywhere.
