She blacked out and was disoriented and miscalculated her descent before cutting the main chute. Wolfcaption has the most plausible scenario and is what mostly likely happened.

She should have cut loose and hit the reserve about 10000' earlier. She rode that chute all the way down and cut loose at the worst possible time. By that point she'd have been better off just riding into the ground.

Of all the things NOT to do in Brazil, after walking down a dark alley and having unprotected sex, PARACHUTING has to be next. In all fairness, it took so long to get down she may have died from boredom. |

Why the hell didn't she cut her main chute and pull the reserve??? Looks like she attempted it at the last second when she realized she was falling too fast, but this is why you don't jump solo unless you've gone tandum many many times. And WHYYY is it always Brazil???
