Re: A Slow Incredibly Bloody & Brutal Beheading From Iraq
Oh come on, you get all damsel in distress everytime that man is in the room, it's all good with me. I tease, I loved that he got the definition from mentalhealth.com or something like that. He should have got it from the DSM IV-TR, that would have told him there were certain criteria which must be met first for that diagnosis to be given. Also, NPD is an axis II disorder, which is pervasive across the lifetime of the patient. There would not be much point in seeking medical help for it as there is very little psychology can offer you. The only real therapy that works for a true personality disorder is dialectic behaviour therapy. Otherwise known as fake it till you make it therapy. Not a lot of hope there. I think I'll just live with my love myself too much personality disorder. |

Re: A Slow Incredibly Bloody & Brutal Beheading From Iraq
It's the threads... They make me go all...swoony!! If anyone has a personality disorder it's that guy and his bitch sidekick - they were the ones doing the stalking and ranting about crying for the "victims"... What the hell were they watching the damn videos themselves for?! I like how we got branded for saying it was okay to behead women like it's something we go out and do... And I've never actually used those words and neither did you... These guys are gonna amuse me all day now!! |

Re: A Slow Incredibly Bloody & Brutal Beheading From Iraq
I know, we never did condone what they did, although when pressed I did say that her being in Chechnya was about the same as an American just heading over to Iraq to teach and then being shocked when the ansar al sunnah grab you. I figured out a long time ago that there is nothing I can say, think, feel or do to change the fates of any of the people in these videos. So I choose to feel nothing for them and rather learn from their misfortunes, if that somehow makes me the problem I am confused by that. They were literally doing a good cop bad cop routine on us. |

Re: A Slow Incredibly Bloody & Brutal Beheading From Iraq
Yeah, but you were jut making a comparison! What the hell's wrong with that?! Some people...! I'm like you - you can't stop all the killing - you can't save these people so what's the point in bothering about it? All you can do is be greatful things are better in your country or whatever and hope that the people who matter see this stuff happening and learn from it. And because the news tend to go into virtual media blackout here when they're discussing killings and stuff if it wasn't for sites like this we'd all be walking round thinking everyone smelled of roses and we'd have no idea of what was really happening in the world. I tend to feel nothing for the people I see in the videos simply because there's nothing you can do about it and if you start feeling sorry for everybody you see die you'd be on more prozac than a motherfucker and you'd never leave the house because of paranoia. And maybe also because I don't always like people that much (there's one that Longjohn would have loved to jump on!). I'm quite happy with any disorder anyone chooses to label me with... It's just one more thing to add to the "qualities" section of my CV...! |
