I concede that it's possible that the impact may've cut off the live stream - I was naively presuming that the footage had been recorded on the actual device itself, in which case it would probably continue to record even after the battery was disconnected (most devices have their own battery). For me, it's the way the body is positioned in the aftermath footage. It looks too staged. Even the blood down the side of the car looks fake.

You'd be surprised at how much a person can get tossed around when that kind of force is being exerted on them and they're not, say, wearing a seatbelt. I know someone who did 9 months in a full-body cast plus physical therapy because his *sister* did the damage that the T-bone impact hadn't done in the first place. She was sitting in the passenger seat (so same angle, just other side of the vehicle) and she didn't survive, and that was just a wreck between two full-size pickup trucks.

A lack of splatter and gore also doesn't mean anything. Knocked out, subdermal skull fractures, concussive damage to cortical tissue, bleeding swelling and death. Plus it made the news, soooo...

My vote is still that it's legit.
