Re: Shot at Point Blank W/ Shotgun

There a puddle of blood before he hits the ground! AWESOME! And when he rolls over while he falls there's a neat little fountain of blood squirting up... betcha it was either direct to the heart, or damn close!

Re: Shot at Point Blank W/ Shotgun

Lemmeh explain.

And we'll start with the physics. We aren't talking bout some pewny AK-47 bullet here. And when it comes to shotguns mass is definitely the predominant factor lol.

Recoil from a gauge is significantly higher than a rifle. The width of a rifle round is about 7.62mm give or take a few mm.The 12ga slug that is about 6inches from my fingers at this moment is as wide as my thumb!

I think you're a little confused. You are talking about a shotgun 'slug' (above) which is totally different than shotgun pellets, which you talk about below...

Now watch this vid.
http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...version-18815/

That guys head weighs about 15 pounds.Watch how that mans brain is blown up and backwards.A couple pounds of matter flies backwards like it was hit with a baseball bat.

I've never weighed my head before. Or anyone else's either. Head

Also,a 7.62mm round isn't going to impact as much tissue as a round that's 3/25 of an inch in diameter.

I'm not sure what you are saying (above).

Again, back to physics. The speed of a shotgun round is much slower than a rifle round.Therefor a rifle round has more of a piercing effect. As a shotgun round has a punching effect much like a .45...

Of course, the distance from the target greatly influences the amount of damage done to the target, as does the buckshot used, and whether or not a magnum round is used. Don't forget about the velocity of the projectile(s).

Here's something else that influences the lethality of projectiles that are shot into a human body:

Back to physics again. You will notice that the shot doesn't pierce through the mans neck. This tells me that the shot used wasn't heavy enough to provide for deep penetration. That's how I came to the conclusion that he is using a #6 shot or smaller.

It doesn't pierce his neck because he wasn't shot in the neck. He looks like he was shot in the heart. If you watch the guy very closely when he is shot, he turns away from the man who shot him; you can see a fountain of blood that spews out of his chest. Look carefully and you will see that the shotgun was pointed downward when it is fired. It's aimed below his neck.

"This tells me that the shot used wasn't heavy enough to provide for deep penetration. That's how I came to the conclusion that he is using a #6 shot or smaller."

Obviously it penetrated deeply enough. Like I said, watch and you will see blood spew out of his chest. I wouldn't want to get shot by a slug or pellets. I also wouldn't go bird hunting with Dick Cheney.

Just watch the vid I provided and observe that mans skull being blown vertically upwards.

I've see news articles about Daniel Jones. Some of them said he used a rifle, not a shotgun. I think he most likely used a shotgun, however. I have seen photos of people who have killed themselves using a high-powered rifle. The destruction, especially if it was an intra-oral shot is extreme as well.

I've watched this video over and over; I don't think the shotgun was cut-off.

And as far as gauging the size of shotguns by their sound... I can tell you if it's a 12,16 or 20ga from a mile away.Literally,

Re: Shot at Point Blank W/ Shotgun

its the bit where he goes , oy oy oy, that cracked me up!
It was a bit of a weird reaction, I agree! I'd say "Oi yoi yoi" if I've banged my toe on the door, not after being shot in the throat!!

Poor man though, just bleeding to death like that and knowing it

This was a repost (third or fourth one) but the video quality is a little better than previous posts, so, good job!
