It happened so fast, the driver probably didn't have time to make any conscious decision one way or the other. Likely he was just wondering WTF was going on.

That is one side of the tale. The other could be he was feigning it to look frightened in front of the victim and then once the work was done the play act went with it. I'm sure all will be revealed at some point. |

At first I didn't catch it but I agree with the majority here. The "friend" looks to have set his passenger up. He shows no shock at seeing the man with two guns and firmly plants his feet on the ground as the assassin walks up.
