Last year I was in Caracas and I saw billboards in English advertising Pizza Hut and cruises to Alaska.

Which is why the condescension about them being "immigrants for a better life" is so old. These guys travel from work site to work site in any number of countries. They are not desperate to settle down in the USA. Heck, you guys are paying $8 for a dozen tiny eggs. In the Dominican Republic that money would buy you a lifetime supply. And people are noticing.

The Americans sit around with their thumbs up their asses thinking everyone is just desperate to go there. It's not the 1980's anymore.
