Wow !!!!! Femoral artery is no joke. We've seen endless neck injuries on DR that cut the carotid or jugular. But this was a real treat. I've heard of people dying from cutting the femoral, but to actually see someone bleed like that from a leg injury is crazy. Great find!!!  |

The only instance I've ever seen in the movies of someone getting killed by an injury to their femoral artery was in the movie Hannibal (of course). I still remember the line from the victim: "He got me just right. Tried to hit me in the balls...but he missed!" Cue the blood gushing from his leg. Nope, he DIDN'T |
