Hey didn’t flare at all. He missed the Flare step in training. Only important if you care about your speed when you hit the ground.

The speed modern rigs go at, 60mph forward speed is easy....but when you come in to land you really need to have your head in the game.

This guys head seemed to be miles away.

At first I couldn’t believe this had a fatal outcome. It doesn’t look that bad! However the estimated blood loss for a closed fracture of the femur is 1000–1500 ml. He had TWO fractured femurs. You can die from losing just 800ml of blood.

Experienced skydivers would agree that it looks like he was finishing a hook turn and shoulda been in a full flare several seconds before the start of this clip.
