Her right arm has been completely degloved of an almost complete layer of skin.
It looks as if she had been wearing an ‘above elbow’ glove, which she is now holding on to with just her fingertips. Pretty cool.

She seemed drunk. It looked like he was trying to guide her away from the ocean and she was pulling towards it. He did all he could. He almost drowned at the end trying to save her. Where you see waves with lots of white water stay out. It will suck you out & toss you around like a washing machine. I grew up on the ocean, but in New England. Our water is pretty calm unless there’s a storm. Well I was on vacation in Florida thinking I’m a water baby and got caught in a rip tide. I was only up to my thighs and got pulled out by the power of the ocean. The feeling was indescribable. It took all my strength to get back to shore. So this girl had no chance against an angry ocean.

That stupid, idiot boyfriend or whoever no doubt convinced her to get in. He probably told her, "Hey, it's okay, babe, it's not that dangerous!" I live near the beach, and I wouldn't have gotten my feet wet in those pounding waves. People have no idea the power of water. One cubic yard of water weighs a ton, and in a storm that undertow will suck you out like the pull of a black hole.
