Everyone always blames the cops. 1. Dont act like a dick in front of a cop regardless of how pissed off you are. 2. When cops show up, regardless of what language you speak, you know they are cops and you know you should behave. 3. Yes 4 people can overpower one, but why should they risk getting an injury and being off work when they are given tools to do a job. 4. Yes they could have considered other tactical options such as spray or calling in a translator but when faced with split second decisions someone has to make a call. Sadly the jury fortunate enough to have hindsight will pick apart the desicion 5. Lastly cops have as much right to safety as anyone else and don`t go to work expecting to get injured so they are always going to put themselves and their work mates before others. Good on the boys/girls in blue for doing a shitty job and having to walk towards danger rather than others who can walk the other way. All the people that moan about them, why not apply yourself and try to do the job and make the force better for everyone with your vast knowledge. |

He wasn't HELD for 10 hours.... He just didn't walk far enough out of the airport. He didn't leave the secured ARRIVALS area. The guy was a fucking genius.

actually, his Mother did sue the Vancouver Police i am not sure if she also sued the airport-she should of if she didn't in my opinion. She did get a "pay out" from the Vancouver PD,i think it was over a million dollars,but nothing can make up for her pain. Her son is gone forever now... I live in Vancouver and this disgusted everyone. RIP Robert. |
