I did read an article (In Portuguese) of an ex-cop from Brazil who told a very grim story about what goes on the inside of the Polícia Militar and how their "training" turns them into rabid dogs who do not care for the right of civilians and prey on them, beating them and abusing their power, he got out because he didn't want anything to do with that crap.
