I'd say, with the volume of blood loss he's suffered, he's in compensatory shock. The body's natural reaction to high volume blood loss is to speed up the heart rate while constricting the blood vessels in an attempt to maintain adequate blood pressure to get oxygen to the brain. I'm guessing this guy wasn't conscious too much longer after the video ended. In a case like that, you'd need immediate intervention by way of stopping the bleeding and doing a fluid challenge to bring up the blood pressure. Good Post! |
