Screams like that are usually a direct response to a physical sensation, IMO.

We inject people with ketamine to calm them down. On occasion people are overly excited by the time I get there. Ketamine does not reduce pain, but it does make you not care that you're feeling the pain. This is what I based my assumption on. People stop screaming when they aren't scared.

I was a whiskey on my first tour in Iraq..

But on my 2nd and 3rd, I had switched over to being a Scout. I always felt weird as a medic.. like, they didn't wanna train me up the way they should have. And subsequently, they treated me like I was fragile and needed their protection. (Keep in mind, I passed selection. But ended up getting peered out for a bad attitude haha.) I didn't need their protection, I just wanted to be part of the team. Not sitting back at a Stryker with sgt major or the 1st sgt while all my guys are kicking in doors. So I was like, "fuck this". Went to cav school, went for my ranger tab (didn't finish, broke three bones in my foot that required surgery. We did a barefoot run on gravels.. and I have little girl feet. So soft and delicate haha. I tripped up and snapped the fuck out of them.)

2nd tour and 3rd, was with 1st Cav regiment.

Taji, NWS, Tarimyah, Mushada, and VBC.

I kept my whiskey certs up to standard though. And this time, they treated me like a soldier and not someone protected by the geneva convention. Haha.

I'm guessing you were a whiskey too?
