She might not have meant to, or maybe she did. But she did the right thing. In situations where you are just fucked. Basically the shooter has you and there's nothing you can do. It's best to step away from your child. Because if the shooter wants to shoot you, you don't want your child to be in the line of fire. |

The first round he fired was deteriorating and old or possibly a bad hand load with way to much powder.

There was something wrong. His pistol recoils sideways. Or at least it appears too. After he fires a shot we'll say straight south, his pistol is pointing straight east. And it appears his first shot was fired towards the guts left chest or possibly even missing him on his left. But you can see the bullet ricochet on the guys right. |

Yeah it also had an extremely heavy powder burn. Look at the size of the flash. Thats why im leaning towards an old round. You see this kind of recoil (like you pointed out) many times when casings crack and blow out.

.357 Magnum revolvers often give you a two foot long muzzel fireball, depends on ammo type and loading as much as caliber, see the picture below. Muzzel flash is very short in duration and difficult to capture on camera. Its possible the first fireball was captured by the camera and the follow up shots weren't. The victim might have gotten his hand(s) on the pistol, the shooter followed thru and relied on the weapon to quell the victim's objection. It must be a higher power weapon, I am thinking .357 or .44 Magnum or .45 ACP. The victim recoils backward more than we see on typical DR pistol victims and the pistol recoils significantly. The pistol going sideways might be from a limp wristed assassin ("Killer Queen"?)  · |

You do make very valid points. The main issue with attempting to figure it out is not being able to clearly see what type of weapon it is ie revolver or semiauto
