Police Officer Shot and Killed by Two Hitmen
Mexico, CCTV recorded the moment when a municipal police officer is killed from behind, by two subjects that seconds before crossed his path. The officer, J. de J. T. A. is seen walking on the road in the opposite direction to that of the hitmen. When he crosses next to them he stares at them and turns his back on them before continuing his walk. The thugs take advantage of the moment when the policeman turns his back on them to draw their weapons, they go towards him and shoot him repeatedly. The uniformed man belonged to the Directorate of Municipal Forces. Local media reported that next to the victim's body the attackers left a card with a message signed by the Northwest Cartel (CDN).   |

It's a war zone down there, especially if you wear blue. I'm surprised all Mexican cops don't travel in army unit formation, just for survival.

They’re pretty close to it. When I went to Cancún the other day for my best friend’s wedding, when leaving the airport, you see the police with their AR’s slung, with 2 people in the bed of their police pickup in preparation of ambush. They’re ready to rock if they aren’t caught off-guard like this. If you Google image ‘Mexican Police pickup trucks’ the first image is EXACTLY what I saw everywhere in Mexico. |
