Yes, overkill indeed, but one less problem for everyone, including himself. The wife gets some insurance money, probably (quite a lot of) cash from the police and lives happily ever after. You people must understand something already, a police gun is a blunt tool, meaning you need the threat eliminated instantly so you fire until the threat is down, you can shoot someone in the leg multiple times and he can still walk and even rush toward you, cop told him to drop the knives eight times yet he walk toward him. You dont stop firing and check if he gave up the idea of killing you, thats what dead cops do. |
