Take a look at any rash stabbings on this site (cab driver one is a good example). See how long it takes, see how much you can fight back? Try that shit with cutlery and you don't have as strong a chance of dying as with a gun. Although personally, I'm much more scared of a big knife than a gun. See the beheadings on this site and you may agree.

I can see why things went down the way they did. I know im making a lot of assumptions here, so my opinion will probably change as more info comes out, but I dont find it unreasonable to think the man might've assumed the person on the other side of the door was his annoying neighbor and didnt expect to see cops. It might explain why he opened the door in the manner that he did. The cops were out of line of sight from the peephole. The 911 caller kind of comes off like a major asshole. His main concern over this "domestic dispute" is the noise that's been going on for a grueling 30 minutes that has prevented him from getting some sleep, and not that someone could be getting hurt or anything... He says "every time I come back (to my apartment?) they just keep getting louder and louder." Soooo....he went to his downstairs neighbors' more than once in a 30 minute window to ask them to keep it down? The couple probably started fucking with him after he kept coming back lol. The victim should've immediately dropped the gun in front of him. It looks like he was trying to carefully place the gun on the floor though. He had his free hand out and clearly visible while crouching. From that angle the cop that fired wasn't in immediate danger, and his partner had cover and a big fuckin gun ready to go. The cop that fired the shots could've waited. This wasn't murder. |
