Y'all better read your history. Zionist Jews from Europe had been immigrating to Palastine in droves before WWII. The fighting between Zionists & the Arab World was so bad that the UN (NOT just the US) split the land in two. In 1949 the fighting continued, so the UN (again, not just the US) brokered a peace agreement that granted Israel MORE land. They've been at war one way or the other ever since then.
