Re: Omaha Cops Fatally Shoots Armed, Uncooperative Car Passenger After Traffic Stop
A few of my ancestors had "georgia." Your plan didn't work. A greater presence. For safety's sake, if nothing else. You do want our law enforcement acting in a safe, competent manner, yes? |

Re: Omaha Cops Fatally Shoots Armed, Uncooperative Car Passenger After Traffic Stop
They observed every rule in training. They didn't overreact and gave numerous clear and precise instructions, which were ignored time and time again. How was that 'shoddy' police work? Explain? Once they saw a firearm, they STILL didn't shoot, it was only when out of the vehicle, and the man fought, while reaching, was he then shot. (And he is STILL blatantly IGNORING Clear and precise comands) I would have shot as SOON as I caught sight of a lethal weapon being raised towards me, or anyone else in the vicinity. They gave him so many chances, they were risking their own lives, and for what? For you to say they 'overreacted.' C Comon now. Think about it realistically. What would YOU have done in the same situation? |

Re: Omaha Cops Fatally Shoots Armed, Uncooperative Car Passenger After Traffic Stop
Why do the cops scream so loud? It would be impossible for any of their contradictory commands to be understood. The guy they shoot in the back is running away because he is confused and in fear of being killed. They scream "Get your hands up! Open the door! Stop reaching!" Where does any of that make sense?

It could also indicate that he was simply afraid, or maybe he was just slow, on drugs or just plain stupid—but that is no lawful reason to execute a non-compliant person, especially by shooting them in the back.
