they were in an ice cream parlor and were also drinking and according to witnesses the mp was drunk and was handling the gun and later on he told he was going home (in his car) So maybe his friend tried to talk him out of it and the gun fired. Wasn't the first time though as according to local newspaper reports, the soldier F. F. had trouble handling his gun in front of his friends also on June 22, 2018, when the soldier was at a table with friends drinking and began to handle his weapon. According to the Civil Police Occurrence Bulletin, the gun accidentally fired and hit into the leg of a man who was on the scene. Shortly after the firing, a Military Police team went to the scene and talked to a witness. She took the military to the soldier's house, where they seized his pistol, a Taurus PT 840. At the time, F. F. was indicted and arrested in flagrante by article 15 of the Disarmament Statute (Firearm Shot). |

I don’t see this being an accident something is really weird about the whole thing he does exit the car without the gun and then retrieves it to do himself in but as a cop and friend I’d think his first thought would be to render aid especially if the guy was still alive
