Bodycam Footage Shows Officer Shoot a Black Man As He Runs Away
after bodycam footage shows an officer shooting and killing a man, even as the man appeared to be running away. An officer shot and killed Patrick Harmon, a 50-year-old black man, as he was being arrested on the evening of August 13. On Wednesday, after a seven week investigation, the Salt Lake County district attorney concluded the officers' use of deadly force was justified because the officers said they feared Harmon was going to hurt them |

The subject line of this thread is WRONG. The guy wasn't "running away". He was resisting arrest. He turned around to face the cops right before he got what he deserved.

Well, sure someone could question if the officer acted too hastily. The guy might have turned around because of the taser action. Video is too low quality to see a knife, but if the officers reported he had one, then it must be so. At least three officers were there, so if the knife was planted during investigation, then it is conspiracy and makes this much worse. Bottom line though is, to low of quality video and not enough information on what his warrant was (violent offense or not). Again this dude knew he was wrong, and if you know you've got a warrant, best to comply and let your lawyer handle it later. |
