The decision was signed this Wednesday (04), by the Secretary of Social Defense, Alessandro Carvalho. The order with the decision was published in the General Bulletin of the SDS, and establishes that the 120-day suspension must be extended for the same period if the disciplinary process has not been concluded. According to the secretary, the measure aims to guarantee public order, the regular instruction of the disciplinary process, which is being processed by the General Inspectorate of the SDS, and the viability of the correct application of disciplinary sanctions. Venilson's identification, weapons and functional utensils will be collected within 24 hours. The PM is being investigated for killing the app-based motorcyclist Thiago F.B., 23, with a point-blank shot. The crime took place on Sunday (01), in Camaragibe, in Greater Recife, and was filmed by a security camera. After murdering Thiago, the PM was beaten by residents. After being hospitalized, he was transferred to the Military Police Reeducation Center, in Abreu e Lima, in Greater Recife. He then underwent a custody hearing and had his preventive arrest ordered.
