As I understand it, he was stuck there for an hour and had 3 heart attacks, and died the next day. As ways to go, go, not one of the better ones IMHO.

This is complete nonsensical boneheadness, these machines cost millions of dollars. If something metal is getting sucked into the machine the first thing to do is shut it down. These MRI’s are so powerful they remove information from magnetic strips from debit and credit cards if the cards are in the room when the MRI is on.They’re not going to take a chance of wrecking a million dollar machine by leaving it on in order to save 25k in Liquid helium, if this is even a true statement, let alone a person. |
