The penalty for taking a life in the new Afghanistan is death. This guy allegedly killed someone else so Taliban members carried out his sentence.

^^Who cares, not my problem. Innocent people have been executed in the first world too. I find it hard to have sympathy over any of the Taliban videos. The US and their allies spent two decades over there trying to setup a puppet government that would conform to UN and other world gov regulations. The Afghans obviously weren't having it. It was a war of attrition and they held out longer, eventually putting the government they wanted back in power. The West wasted 20 years, thousands of young men's lives, and billions (probably trillions) of dollars over there, ultimately for nothing.  If it weren't for the West's involvement in Afghanistan I don't think most people would give two shits about them becoming (again) an Islam governed country. Where is all the uproar over Saudi Arabia? Just because they have lots of oil and an entrenched royal family, they are given a free pass on being a totalitarian Islamic dictatorship. Wassup with that?  |

Notwithstanding being judged by a jury of your peers or the existence of a judicial system, but I think I finally found something with these fucking guys I can (sorta) see eye to eye on. They’re all bunch of fundamentalists with the same fucking idealogical theologies who want nothing more than to bring 7th century Islam back to the world - fucking murdering in the name of their god. I had the pleasure of giving several of them the opportunity to give their lives for whatever the fuck it is they call their pissing grounds. I regret that I wasn’t able to put more of their heads to bed back in 04. |
