Murder at Sakae (Nagoya-Japan)
About 23:15 on Saturday (25) the police received a call by 110 saying "there's a man attacking!" The place was in Sakae 4 chome, in center of Nagoya (Aichi). Kiyoyuki Yamashiro, 48, Japanese, unemployed, living in Minami-ku, Nagoya, was arrested in the act. He stabbed the chest of J.S., 46, a Japanese, from Tenpaku-ku, the same city. He died there. "We had problems and had a grudge against him," Yamashiro would have explained to the police. He said that while he was in prison the acquaintance did not care for his wife. Before the victim died Yamashiro was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, but with death he will respond for murder. The two are former members of a yakuza group. Police later revealed that Yamashiro planned the attack. “I purchased the weapon in advance,” Yamashiro told police, according to the Sankei Shimbun (May 26). “I attacked him in an ambush.” As the incident unfolded, passersby shot footage. After S. exited a bar, Yamashiro attacked him with what appears to be a tool used in tile work and a knife. “Stop, call the police,” the victim can be heard. |
