Brazilian teenager B. V. A. d. C, riding pillion with her mother on a bike were crushed by a tow truck during a reverse maneuver in the middle of the street.

The girl's mother was rescued with injuries and taken to the Emergency Room. The teenager was also referred to the same health unit, but died soon after.

The accident was recorded by a security camera.
The recording shows the truck crossing a corner and the motorcycle following right behind. At a certain point, the truck stops and the motorcycle with mother and daughter stops right behind.

Suddenly the driver engages the reverse, and the truck passes over the motorcycle. There is no information about what prompted the driver to perform such a maneuver. It is believed that he did not see the motorcycle stopped right behind.

The driver was alerted by a woman who came out of an establishment next door, reporting that he had just run over the motorcycle with two people.

Then the man gets out of the vehicle, despairs and picks up his cell phone to call for help.
An ambulance from the Mobile Emergency Care Service took the mother and daughter to the Emergency Room, where the girl died and the mother is still hospitalized. The investigation will be conducted by the Police Specialized in Traffic Offenses, of the Civil Police.

The motorbike should not have been so close to him. Acually I have the same exact truck and where they were it’s impossible to see them in the side mirrors and rear view it’s not easy eather cause it’s unclear because bed is so far away. The trucks loud so you can’t hear much and to turn around in them trucks and look out back window is very hard with all the equipment in them and if you are wearing a seatbelt. I feel bad for the mother and daghter but that’s a lesson learned. Stay far away from things that can kill you. Why get so damn close?? Let’s say the truck driver was wrong…. So that don’t make them anymore alive! If they had been defensive drivers they would it have died. Those trucks are massively heavy and powerful ., no one has any business tailgating one . Especially when they have there hazard lights on! YES HE HAD HIS HAZZARDS ON! Its so ayingbt me when all ignore my hazzard beach in the ow truck. The same your next important. Well. S it to l people know dangerous heavy equipment is near by and doing something that could end ones life if they get to close.

Was the mother the one in front? Looks like she survived because she rolled over her daughter sacrifcing her to the truck. She was quite nimble for an older woman.
