The problem is that Americans of different races aren't always able to relate to each other's culture, and a lot of us are probably a little defensive because race can be such a sensitive topic and racists can be so subtle and hide so well that you never know if someone of a different race that you're dealing with is bigoted against you. If anything, race relations don't *cause* interracial hatred, but rather it's that the hateful angry people here who just want something to hate and victimize will also latch onto race as a focus of their hatred. A good example of that is the piece of shit now-ex-officer Chauvin kneeling on George Floyd's neck, or black career criminals who hate white people and prefer to victimize them because they blame institutional white racism (rather than, say, the way they were raised) for the poverty that they use to justify their criminal activity.

What I find really interesting is that most of these high-profile incidents involving race, police brutality, and riots don't happen here in the South of the U.S., which everyone in the places where those things *do* happen claims is so racist and backwards and ignorant. It seems to me like people of different races get along better in states like Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida than they do in California and above the Mason-Dixon Line despite a lot of those latter states being leftist and thus supposedly more accepting and tolerant of racial diversity.

But that's just in my experience and understanding, mileage may vary for others.

I agree... there is definitely not equal opportunity for everyone in this country. And aside from race and socioeconomic status... there are far too many other things to list that are the cause for it. Endless list from very minute silly things, to very serious issues. It's human for some people to be human. It just sucks that humans are the way they are.

All of us. As a whole.

and some people make a big deal out of it to look cool. much of it attention seeking whore behavior. But as I stated, the reasons for inequality everywhere are endless.

My point is, people have some diluted and naive perceptions on this country... and that is not their fault. It's not all amercian dreams and home of the free. That's very deceptive advertising.

I do think that money and currency was probably the worst idea someone ever came up with. Think about that. Think really hard. What if nothing ever cost anything? Money doesn't exist.

are you kidding me? police don't go around just looking for people to "end". This incident was a product of race relations in this country for centuries! That cop is a product of race relations as was George. Two very different experiences. But all kinds of assumptions.

And "at the moment" is a gross misstatement. Police brutality and violence against particular classes of people has been around since police and other figures of authority came into existence. All these police killing citizens such as this has just gotten more violent and prolific.

During the trial, the judge said the jury will have access to the bystander video. I assume even in better quality. Once the jury watched this video in its entire, no defense attorney in the world could have saved him.
