Re: Miami Beach Police Shoots and Kills a Bankrobber Waving a Straight Edge Razor
I don't get why he was shot first, should have been tasered correctly (without the following up of a bullet the same second), if that failed shoot to disarm. Why the heck are police always shooting to kill? What a waste.

Bad police work. They should be criminally charged. 1) he posed no immediate threat. 2) a non-lethal attempt was made, one officer fired a tazer, the others being spooked by the sound of the tazer, fired live rounds into the guy, resulting in unnecessary death.....

Re: Miami Beach Police Shoots and Kills a Bankrobber Waving a Straight Edge Razor
the officer behind the car (farthest from camera) used a taser. that was appropriate and a good call of judgement. immediately after the taser is fired, one of the dumb cops with a freakin rifle shoots. did he shoot because he reacted to the noise of the taser???? and then one other cop shoots. are they trained to shoot at a target if other cops shoot??? and they have him held at gunpoint for at least a full 2 mins. could have easily been subdued with taser/beanbags/rubber bullets its not a case of "he didnt put his weapon down when asked, he deserved to be shot". if he can be subdued without being killed, then do so. |

That was a clean shoot. One of the officers should have attempted the use of a taser while the others held him at gun point, but from a legal standpoint, that shoot was clean. The officers should not be faulted there. Just my opinion.
