I know some people who see this will think that he wasn't advancing. The point is that the guy could close the distance gap in an instant making it a very dangerous situation for a cop.

He was advancing. Right at the moment he was shot he had raised the blade.

sure wasn't much of an "advance".
this incident is every bit as unjustified as any police shooting of a black ive ever seen- he wasnt even wearing a shirt or had hands in pockets, so a possible concealed gun was ruled out.

You can actually see the officers stepping backwards as the suspect does a step forward towards them.

Interesting to see that these cops weren't trigger happy at all but had no other choice then to shoot the (armed) suspect.
