It's harder to watch when the victim screams and struggles, compared to ISIS beheadings where they are totally calm. It feels more "humane", if that makes any sense.

Oh I think their reasoning is pretty solid: kill them before they kill us, stop them from encroaching on our territory.

They can't just go to the police or file a complaint with the Mexican version of the FTC, the MexTC
I think you missed the point of my comment... But that's alright.

I do, however, agree with what you are referring to with the police. Any police in Central or South America are just another gang, no point in going to them for help. They are all corrupt because their governing bodies have been completely compromised by criminals.
Bottom line: It's dog eat dog south of our border.

Not necessarily. There are countries like Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina...that rarely make appearances here. Even Brazil....I remember I naively asked this one Brazilian lady why there was so much violence in Brazil, and she was like "....well, Brazil is a big country "

I know that some do, and at least one witch doctor, Adolfo Constanzo, was infamous for keeping a caldron of severed body parts to either foretell or portend good fortune for his cartel patrons.

Most I think are just "defending" their territory.
They definitely gotta understand these vids are some type of psychological warfare

Why is that I wonder? It's a good observation. Are they just resigned to die more or drugged? Anyway brutal as hell. I bet they withhold water as well.
Personally, I think with most beheadings, once they start cutting, the victim isn't usually even able to produce much of a noise at that point
